February 20th, 2009 by Foxopoly TenOne of the more exciting releases next month is actually the re-release of the classic Pearl Jam album “Ten”. Hard to believe that it was 18 years ago that a highschool girlfriend turned me on to this band that I continue to follow and support (though never had the opportunity to see live). There are actually four different editions being released, but the super deluxe edition is of course the most interesting.
Album extras include:
Probably the most interesting thing about this set is the fact that Brendan O’Brien went in and redid the original mixes originally done by Tim Palmer. Some might consider this blasphemous, but I’m sure the remixes will be great as O’Brien is responsible for most subsequent mixes of the bands material. He’s already remixed early songs on the PJ greatest hits collection that came out a few years ago. Also noted is how the band took a terrible album cover and made it….uh, gold. Pre-order your set here. You may be one of the lucky few to get one autographed by the band. Official release is on or before March 24th. |
