Guitar Hero: Jason Becker

In the late 80’s / early 90’s you had the great shredders ie. Vai, Satriana, Malmsteen, but there were other much younger guns on the horizon. Jason Becker was one of them. In his late teens he released several instrumental albums and even played on one of David Lee Roth’s later solo albums. At age 20 his physical playing career was tragically cut short however, by ALS (more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) which quickly degraded Jason’s body eventually making it impossible to move or speak. Through his supportive family and computer aided technology Jason was not only able to communicate, but also able to create music which he continues to do today.

This year Paradise Guitars is releasing a couple of signature guitars modeled after Carvin’s that Jason played. These guitars are truly unique and a real nod to one of the true unsung guitar heroes.
