SkolNotes

Another guitar legend from my teenage years was Alex Skolnick who was only sixteen years of age when he played on now classic albums with Testament. Alex exited the metal world in his early twenties to persue jazz guitar and even land a regular gig with The the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  While still exploring other diverse musical avenues Alex has found the time to reunite with Testament and continue to carry the metal torch.

Check out SkolNotes.  Who would have thought that an old thrash player could be so introspective and thoughtful?  I particularly enjoyed his recurring “Everybody’s Metal!” feature.
