Gotta love random hits on the internet. I found an UNKLE mp3 that I never even knew existed. At some point in 2005, a low-budget soccer movie called Goal was released. I have no idea if it’s any good, but the soundtrack is fucking amazing! How the hell did the Brits slip this one past me?!! The unreleased Oasis tracks are pretty weak and pointless, but how can you go wrong with the Happy Mondays and Zero 7? This UNKLE track is incredible and deserves to be heard loud. It features some dude named Joel Cadbury on vocals. No idea who he is, but this track KILLS. Check out ‘Leap of Faith’ here.

I’ve gotta visit Belgium sometime. Girls in Hawaii, one of the breakout artists from this year’s SXSW festival, are a Belgian export that created one of the most beautiful albums of the year…or last year, or whenever the hell it came out. Regardless, ‘From Here To There’ is fantastic and should definitely be heard by every stupid American. It’s gorgeous, mellow melancholy pop at it’s finest. Here’s a rare unreleased recording of GIH’s cover of Nada Surf’s “Blizzard of ‘77″. Haven’t heard the original? Check it out here. Hard to say which is better.

Here’s the first single from Sparta’s forthcoming album ‘Threes’ – Taking Back Control is also featured in the new Madden 2007 game, along with Wolfmother and The Rapture. You’re probably thinking the same thing I am – “What the fuck is that about? I have no idea, but I have a hard time imagining some fat gamer wearing a Chicago Bears jersey, sucking down a giant Pepsi and rocking The Rapture. Next thing you know, the Mars Volta will be performing at Superbowl half-time. Thank to Culture Bully for the mp3.

Just up late eating some ice cream and listening to some recent blog downloads that I scored. It never ceases to amaze me how fast tracks leak. Here’s some b-side goodies that I scored…
Thom Yorke – Jetstream
Muse – Crying Shame
Keane – Maybe I Can Change
The Keane track is damn good, but I still can’t believe that dude is in rehab. That’s like saying John Mayer beats his girlfriend.

OK – I’ve been waiting a long time to hear these guys and the single has finally leaked. The STP DeLeo brothers return with Richard “Ego” Patrick on vocals and Diamond David Lee Roth’s old drummer (yeah, WTF?!!) rounding out the supergroup Army of Anyone. They’re bound to blow up modern rock radio in the next few months, but you can check out the single “Goodbye” here first.
